A former teacher (geography), teacher-trainer (geography again), author (geography - yet again - this time mainly atlases but also books about hymns and the history of her village), she enjoys travel (she is a geographer!!). Became a Christian as a teenager, largely through the influence her geography teacher(!). Jill married a geographer,David, who died in 2009.
Jill has been involved in Baptist and Anglican churches and somehow settled with the latter as long as they were fairly non-conformist(!) She has been a member of Mulbarton church since she moved to the village in 1974 - been Churchwarden, PCC Sec, Deanery Synod rep (and Sec) in her time - and now about to be an AWA.... Jill has 2 children, 5 grandchildren - daughter and 3 grandchildren in Norwich; son and 2 grandchildren in Lancaster.
Jill has written several books about Mulbarton including 'The Book of Mulbarton: A Village That Has No History?'.
